ARC Apartments, Titanic Quarter
The Architectural concept was conceived as a series of curved buildings centred and focused on a reformed Abercorn Basin using a curved geometry where each building effectively became an ‘Arc’ radiating from the centre of
the basin.
The concept builds on the scale of the adjacent Odyssey complex of six storeys in scale stepping up to ten and twelve storeys to create a variation on height ultimately leading on to a phase two and concluding in the landmark apartment tower on the edge of the Waterfront.
The first phase consisted of over 450 apartments set on a ‘green’ podium over two levels of underground car parking.
Delap & Waller were appointed to carry out the building services design for the first phase which utilises a site wide broadband communications infrastructure.
Design services included:
- Infrastructure & utility services
- Public realm lighting
- Mechanical & electrical services
- Whole apartment ventilation
- Heat recovery
- Telecommunications
- Plumbing, Soils & waste risers
