Colaiste Feirste

As part of a development programme for the existing Colaiste Feirste the college extended the facilities on the existing campus and made alterations and upgrades to a number of areas throughout the existing college accommodation. Delap & Waller was appointed M&E Engineer for the design and inspection of the services installations.

This development comprised the construction of an all-new three-storey extension block housing teaching accommodation. In addition, there was a change of use and general refurbishment of a number of areas in the existing buildings. The areas within the existing accommodation where refurbishment/alterations took place included Existing Classroom Block, Library, Riddle Building, Art Suite, Home Economics Suite, Science Suite and Technology and Design Suite.

The contract also included the extension of the Sports Hall Facilities and the construction of a new Sports Pavilion, featuring a Fitness Suite, Training Rooms and Changing Suite.

D&W was also the BREEAM consultant and was successful in achieving a ‘very good’ certification.
