Dundalk Institute of Technology – North & South Refurbishment and STEM Extension

Dundalk Institute of Technology is a third level, non residential educational establishment in Dundalk,
Co Louth. Delap & Waller were appointed as M&E Engineers as part of a design team to this complete refurbishment
of the external fabric to two buildings (North and South) within the campus and a new 2 storey extension built to nZEB standards to accommodate new science laboratories. Refurbishment upgrades include heating, ventilation and lighting systems in each building.

Extension includes offices, chemical storage, preparation laboratories, analytical laboratory, biotech laboratory, micro preparation laboratory and food technology laboratory, with all new installed services meeting the minimum efficiency performance standards of Part L 2017. All works are being carried out within a live site environment. The nature of the works requires that temporary accommodation is installed on campus, in order for staff to decant during the refurbishment of the North and South buildings.
