Green Park Village Primary Academy School

Delap & Waller were appointed as M&E Design Engineers to this modular school which is part of the prestigious St Edward residential development in Reading.

Reds10, as design and build main contractor, provided a turnkey package for the new 2,400m² modular building. Production of each modular unit (including factory-installed concrete floors) took place in Reds10 factory facility. The units were delivered up to 90% complete to site. This parallel production process is one of the factors allow-ing the total construction period to be reduced by up to 35% compared to traditional construction approach.

Delap & Waller worked with the Reds10 team and collaborated using BIM Level 2 protocols, using Autodesk Revit. The project contained a high level of information and a high level of detail. The projects were fully co-ordinated with clash detection and resolution using Navisworks and meetings held by the design team.
