Kingspan Stadium
The redevelopment work at Ravenhill (Renamed Kingspan Stadium) delivered three new stands and increased the capacity from 11,400 to 18,000. stands include the New Memoria Stand – (2400 seating and 1350 terracing capacity) included a ticket office, shop, bar/catering and educational facilities. New Aquinas stand – Family area (2100 seating and 1300 terracing capacity) includes changing facilities, treatment rooms, state-of-the-art gym, meeting rooms and media facilities. The existing stand was demolished and replaced with a new grandstand with 3450 seating capacity with bar and restaurant facilities. Delap & Waller were responsible for the design and supervision of the full mechanical and electrical services, including heating, lighting, ventilation, plumbing, fire alarm and public address systems. There were tight time constraints and works were carried out while the site remained fully functional throughout. New renewable technologies were integrated into the stadium including rainwater harvesting with the capacity of 50,000 litres of water to feed the pitch irrigation system.
