This conservation development contained a convent building and chapel and ancillary buildings formerly used for the nun’s residential accommodation, educational, recreational and office purposes. The redevelopment proposals for this site had to take into account the heritage, conservation and social housing objectives set for this property by Cork County Council.

The conservation and redevelopment of the main Convent Building allowed for the provision of 8 No. two bedroom apartments. Four on the ground floor and four on the first floor. The scheme also included the total demolition of the existing laundry, sports hall, two-storey classroom blocks, replaced by the construction of 7 No one bedroom apartments, alongside 3 No. apartments in the old school house.
