Primark Merry Hill

Primark expanded it’s floor area from 35,000 sq ft to 60,000 sq ft when it expanded into the former BHS unit at Merry Hill Shopping Centre in December 2018. This gave 70 per cent more space to display a much greater range of its fashion range. Delap & Waller were appointed by Primark as Engineering Consultants to oversee the M&E services design as carried out by the Design & Build contractor.

Design Stage Duties included Provision of Concept Designs & Performance Specifications and Liaison with Primark’s Energy/Utilities division to ensure the incoming power and telecoms were delivered to the design requirements and the programmed dates.
Construction Stage Duties included checking quality, compliance and progress of installations, regular reporting of findings to Primark and verifying the commissioning of all service systems.
