St Cecilia’s Church of England School is a newly built Primary school situated at the heart of the new Matthew’s Green development in Wokingham, Berkshire.

Modular specialists, Reds10, provided a turnkey package for this building which includes spacious classrooms, a large multi-use hall, a well-equipped technology room, and a multi-use games area (MUGA).

75 percent of the work was constructed offsite to cut carbon emissions and significantly reduce the overall program for delivery and allowed for the inclusion of enhanced carbon reduction features.

Sustainable elements designed included:

  • High-efficiency Heat Pumps
  • Local hybrid natural ventilation mixing boxes
  • Natural ventilation wind turrets
  • Photovoltaic Arrays on roof of building
The project included a 600 sqm new community center on the same site, served by a separate entrance.
