Delap & Waller are delighted to be working as Mechanical, Electrical and Sustainability Engineers for this prestigious £100m project.

This development is being delivered and led by Queen’s University Belfast, alongside industry, Ulster University and Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, as part of the Belfast Region City Deal.

AMIC will be a flagship facility, a state-of-the-art ‘Factory of the Future’, is the first of its kind in Northern Ireland, and will reinvigorate Northern Ireland’s industrial potential and address the future technology and skills challenges faced by the region’s manufacturing sector.

The building is made up of three linear ‘pavilions’, which include an engineering hall of 4,500sqm, laboratory, and clean room spaces of 1,185sqm, social and education spaces over 2 floors of 1,059sqm and a workplace of 1,568sqm at first floor level.

We look forward to working with the Project Managers, Arcadis, and the rest of the design team on this innovative and ground-breaking project.
