Dinton Activity Centre

Delap & Waller were appointed as M&E Engineers, working with the Reds10 team, on this project, which entails the replacement of the existing centre with a new 620m2 modular constructed activity centre. The site is located in Wokingham and is funded by Wokingham Borough Council. The new purpose built facility will ensure that the centre has adequate accommodation to fulfil their education and leisure requirements. The new centre is to be manufactured off-site in order to minimise the construction period and disruption to the existing centre as well as the surrounding community.

The new centre has a number of education and leisure facilities including:

• New hall Space for indoor climbing & group activities
• Hall briefing area for activities
• Conference space and Cafe Area
• Changing rooms & WC’s
• Reception Entrance Area
• Office space and staff welfare facilities

The overall design including M&E strategy has achieved a net zero carbon rating verified by an independent third par-ty assessor appointed by the client.
